Yep, came home after a few drinks last night and the game seemed much harder to manage. But I think it was all the other players just playing funny....
Full Retail from Walmart DVD with all patches applied.
The 1.0.2 patch wants to update every game start. The only bug ive seen so far.
Still fun. Did I see Dirtbag in my game last night?

Looks like Patch 1.03 will have PunkBuster. It's due out in May.
I think I'll purchase then. Anywho here's what is coming up:
PC Patch 1.0.3 Information fro the Forums: ---------------------------------------------------- I also wanted to post some details on what is in current development and testing for the next PC 1.0.3 patch. Our objective is to have these fixes and features sent over to THQ QA’s internal test team in the last week of April and then released soon thereafter.
Please note that items in the list are contingent on the development and testing schedules so some things may be pushed out as we get closer to release. But there is also the possibility of fixes and features getting added which is always a good thing.
Thanks for your continued patience and support!
New Features
PunkBuster anti-cheat is being added

Multiple fixes should result is much less visible “sliding”, “worming” and “Dolphin” effects from transitioning between crouch to standing, crouch to prone and prone to standing.

Jumping from and to prone should now be impossible
A minimum timer has been set in between changing positions. (This will prevent crouch/prone spamming)

That's my plan as well Spec. Wait until 1.03, even then I want to see how many are still actually playing the game. Numbers are low as it is. I don't want another MoH:AB sitting on my shelves.
Wish they'd launch a few more maps as well.

From what I've read, no 5.1 surround, but I could be wrong.
What I do know is some downloadable (sp) content is on the way for the game. Hush, hush on what it contains at this point or whether or not they will charge $ for it.
Charging $ would be crazy considering the small community FFoW has.

Yeah, not sure what these guys are thinking at times. Only folks left on their boards are the die hard FFoW loyalist.
Should change their name from KAOS (although it does kinda fit what's happening to FFoW), to "One step forward, two steps back."

This just in....And not off the Frontlines Forums...they are down at the moment.
"Both the PC and Xbox 360 update close to release
Things have been a bit quiet on the Frontlines Fuel of War front as of late, while the developers at Kaos studios have been putting their collective noses to the grindstone to push out the long awaited 1.1.0 patches for both the PC and Xbox 360 platforms.
According to Kaos the 1.1.0 update for the PC is in final testing now. The 1.1.0 update has been given to host providers, friends, and family for testing prior to release. Kaos says that they are near the finish line on getting the PC 1.1.0 update out the door.
As for the Xbox 360 1.1.0 update, things were quiet until Kaos let us in on what is going on. Apparently Kaos submitted the 1.1.0 update to Microsoft, and one feature caused an issue that Microsoft was concerned about and wanted Kaos to address.
Kaos was quick to address the issue and resubmit the 1.1.0 update for the Xbox 360 version to Microsoft and they are waiting on them. They expect to get some feedback from Microsoft soon, and once they do, they plan to update the community on when to expect the update. Part of the reason that this is taking a bit longer than normal is the fact that the 1.1.0 update is a large update.
One interesting comment that Kaos made about the 1.1.0 update for the Xbox 360 is the fact that they have some exciting plans for FFOW on the 360 in the near future and this update plays a large part in getting the 360 version ready for these plans.
While it is almost certain that they will not get the 1.1.0 update out the door before the end of the month, a release during the first or second week of June looks to be quite possible on both platforms."

Patch 1.1.0 is getting a luke warm reception which I expected.
However they just announced they will be introducing a new game mode in the very near future. Conquer which is like BF2's conquest. Bout dang time.

One of biggest issues is getting resolved.

I guess they released a major patch back in Sept 2008 but by then aeverybody (from here) lost interest. Has anybody played this game since then? The game had so much potential. Shame about the bugs.

I bought it on Steam a while back (was like $2.99 or something. lol ). There is one or two servers that are populated sometimes and it's the same 30-40 people each day. The game is innovative in it's ideas of game play (the frontlines idea), but the engine and mechanics are horrible to say the least. It's like having constant lag even if you have a decent ping to the server. It's also got horrible physics in it's choppers and planes. Tanks / APCs are good, but still feel goofy.
Personally I wouldn't pay over $5 for it and expect to play it one or two days before you get bored and discussed with the physics.

too bad. I'm wondering if KAOS has learned from this for their upcoming Homefront game. From what I understand KAOS studios was built with the original guys/programmers from the original Dice/Battlefield studios.

Sorta, the main player is Frank De Lise who made Desert Combat Mod for 1942. I'm sure most of us played it to death. He was asked by DICE to come work on BF2. After that gig was done, he went to work for THQ which formed Kaos. He was also the producer behind FFoW, why there was so much hope by the DC Mode guys (like me), but the game was released as an early beta. There was virtually no change from the beta to final release. Game flopped. He actually left Kaos after FFoW release, but it seems he came back to work on Homefront.
Looking at the videos, I have my concerns. Maps are a little bit larger than CoD, but seem quite a bit smaller than BC2. Not a good mix for vehicles imho.
