I've been keeping an eye on the FFoW forums. The game clearly was not ready to be released.

The patch they came out with was to allow people to play mp, still a list of issues with the game.

85% of the issues were brought up during beta yet managed to make it into the release version.

say a commercial on broadcast TV for front lines, same trailer Spec posted a while back.
saw the retail box at target or BB, somewhere.

i like the concept. i liked the trailer. i don't know why, i'm not sold on it yet.
maybe because after seeing the TV commercial and seeing the retail box, i can't find
a demo yet . . .

Burns, stay away from this game. All they did was release a beta. One of the worst releases I've ever seen.

I can't believe these guys created the DC mod.

Link to their forums if anyone is interested in keeping tabs on this game.

There's still hope for this game, but it's fading quickly imho.

Yep, they messed up big. I mean really big.

Stingray, Duece, Tankgirl, and myself where all involved in the beta and we (along with many others) gave the DEV's lots of feedback on major issues and with each beta release it actually got worse.

The last closed beta before they started moving towards the final game was a joke. If they had kept the game as it was with the very first beta version the game would have been OK (maybe 7 out of 10). The next release was better in some ways, but really bad in others and I would have given it a 6 of 10. The third beta was really bad and I would give it a 3 of 10. From what I read, the game is as bad, if not worse, than the third beta version and that is really bad.....

It does look like a great game. I hope the first patch is a doozy. Perhaps it will fix most of the issues.

I'd say give it another 3-6 months. Either Kaos will come through and fix it, or the game will be in the bargain bin and you can keep your $50 in your wallet.

Here's a 360 review that pretty much sums up 50% of the issues being complained about on the forums.

http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3166776

Keep in mind PC users are seeing the above issues plus many are having install issues as well in both Vista and XP.

Then there's the game balance issues which Kaos said their going to fix last.

Well the Demo was supposed to released today.

Here's the official statement:

http://community.kaosstudios.com/showthread.php?p=62436#post62436

I guess they got their hands full. I still have hope for this game as the general concept and the graphics/look of this game is awesome. I just hope that they can get the mechanics of the gameplay to work before THQ pulls the plug on KAOS.

After reading all the problems they are having with MP version I will be staying away from this one for a while. Why are they afraid of releasing a Demo...Would it be because of the crappy way their server launch works and they want you to buy it first before you find out.

I'm still waiting, still to many issues and bugs. This patch took a month and barely fixes anything. Server browser issues mostly.

Kaos is active on the forums, but they sure don't do a whole lot with the feedback their given.

Played the beta several times back when it came out. Comp was just at recommended level then,7800GTX ect. Full version with new setup is much smoother than I thought it would be with 60 players. Enjoyed it, had more kills than deaths, got a few head shots easy, felt no mouse lag, played kinda like Quake,Tribes and Unreal with a little Crysis thrown in.

Easy to play for me and was a ton of fun for the 30 min. I was in.

I'll say "not bad" at this time.

As compared to the games we play....almost as good.
