Man, I tell ya, I for one can't wait til they come out with some kind of fix for this. I never punish anyone for teamkills. (I assume people are playing fairly and not TK'ing to get vehicles) But man... I actually had someone on your server punish me for a TK because while I was trying to get a flag, they landed their helicopter on my tank and crashed. They died, so did I, and then I got punished for a TK.
Then I had some nitwit jump in front of my TOW while I was trying to shoot an incoming APC... To top it off, I had already fired 2x before that so it's not like he shouldn't have known and like I have peripheral vision with that thing. Guy punished me for a TK.
I understand the concept, and why it was put in, but in practice it sucks. Sorry, just needed to rant a bit.

I agree. I once punished a Club Member because I did not see the text in time and the game automaticly punished him because I was slow on the keys. It's not right.

I was shooting at someone way off and a guy ran through the fire and got killed and I got punished. It happens. Just let it go and keep playing.

yup the other night i was flying, got like 35+ kills, 3 deaths and no teamkills, then in last 2 min of map, i bomb a flag with enemy tank, kill tank AND teammate that must have been hiding from the tank (couldn't see him on minimap as his blue dot must have been obscured by the flag) and he punishes me even though the tank was likely to kill him in a sec anyway and capture the flag. oh well.

yeah i hate the TK punishments also, i was so excited to see Tittyhips the other
night that i acidently killed him, AND HE PUNISHED ME!! talk about injustis uh?

Yea I was so excited to finally see Pace that I ran up to him,hopped up and down like a Rooo,and then kneeled before him (like role playing in WOW)........and he emptied 2 full clips into my beerbelly and laughed. I laughed and chose "punish" for old times sake.

It does kinda suck but, what can be really done about it? If it's removed then I imagine TK'ing may become rampant on some servers as people cheat to help there friends side win. I'm not sure how it could be modified myself.

Try being a commander and watching your team all run into the danger zone and get killed. Don't know what else I could have done, the game warns 'em, the map shows 'em, and I even type in bold letters, WATCH OUT INCOMING ARTY, and they still are likes moths to the flame some games.
Above is an ARTILLERY BEACON. When you see it on your mini map, and hear the "ARTILLERY IN YOUR AREA"......RUN AWAY!!! FIND COVER!!!!

I think the TK's should be an AUTO FORGIVE not punish. then give you an option to punish if you wish. That way the people that TK for fun can be punished. You know when it's ligit or not. running into crossfire, Arty or very close range kills that are among the enemy can't be helped at times.

On the TK thing... there are times when I've inadvertently stepped into the line of fire, drove over a mine my team mate just placed, or just casualy walked in front of a team mates tank. On respawning, I suddenly find myself having to run for my life to escape artillery, air attack, ground assault, the wife talking, and to top it all off, that niggly little question, 'press pgup to forgive the teamkiller. Now these things fall into a logical order of priority, the least being, forgiving the team killer.

Lol Festus, I noticed you ended up getting kicked last night. Don't worry I didn't vote for that nor did I punish you for TK's. As a matter of fact I was so busy laughing after our heli pilot flew into an arty strike zone and got us all killed I didn't even realize at first that you got kicked. I saw the arty coming and tried to tell the pilot not to go in there but, it was too late. Have you guys got a Teamspeak server by chance? Maybe I could join it and speak with you guys one night.

I know I got "auto-kicked" by the software for that, cus I had one other arty strike that I got 3 TKs from earlier in the same map.
The 2nd one I think I wasted 4-5 of my teammates cus we had the enemy pinned in one zone. I set an arty strike to weaken them long enough for our guys to get established, but unfortunately no one ran out of the strike zone and I think it ended up killing more of my side than the other. I don't believe anyone punished me for a TK at all, but I do remember getting berated for killing them all (justifiably so).

Fuddy just posted that reward after last night when I blew his sorry butt up, along with the Helicopter and the landing pad it was sitting on. Not once, not twice, not 3 times, but FOUR times last night on one map.
It was a simple recipe. Use the UAV to watch Fuddy and cohort fight to take the flag at the airfield. As soon as it changes, launch Artillery on Heli pads. Sit back and watch as they scurry over to, and fire up the attack heli. Watch as the rotors spin up, it starts to lift off, and finally cackle mercilessly as an artillery shell turn the heli into scrap metal and Fuddy and company into fertilizer.
BUT if anyones got a right to put a bounty on my head, its probably Hipster. Poor guy, I think he has been on the wrong end of my grenade launcher way too many times.

I hereby DOUBLE the bounty. (Festus-you killed me mercilessly when I first started playing,but I do recall seeing several "HipsterOmo kills Festus" as of late.The guys on TS will back me on that cause I always holler WOOOT!!
