Squad leaders need to realize that if someone on your squad calls for suppies, you, as squad leader need to relay the message to the commander.. What you do is hit caps lock and the map will appear. You should see a blinking spot (white I think) right click to zoom and then click suppies to drop as close as possible in a place of cover so he wont get killed trying to get there. Lately I just make my own squad to get supplies cus I couldn't get them from the squad leader of the squad I was in. I am probably as guilty as anyone else cus the amount of game sounds gets rediculous at times. Maybe I'm not understanding something but I don't want to hear some guy 3 flags away repeatedly yelling "Enemy infantry spotted", "Enemy Armor vehicle spotted" etc, etc. It has a tendancy to make me ignore all the ingame voice overs.

I played commander during a couple games last night and had numerous requests for supplies (that I promptly filled). It was a first to get them at all in the 6-7 times I've been commander.

As for spamming "Enemy Infantry Spotted" - when I am commander, I take care to notify my team when there are enemy that are CLOSE to them. It is a waste, and stupid to:
1. Identify Enemy that are already in the UAV zone 2. Identify Enemy when there is nobody near enough to do anything about it.
Is so annoying to me to have a commander that just spams the radio telling me there are 3 bad guys near me, when they are already on the UAV screen.

I don't mind someone telling me on TS or Ventrilo if there's someone near me but the ingame notification of "enemy infantry spotted" can refer to enemy anywhere on the map so it doesn't really help. Maybe I'm missing something? Without a location what good is it?

I always thought the purpose was to make EVERYONE look at their mini map to see if the threat was nearby/pertinent to them.
It would be nice if you only heard that warning within a certain rdius of the actual spot, but then again there would be debate over whether the rdius was too large...or too small.

When an enemy is sighted, (say called out by the commander), it will show up on your radar map for a time.

Ok wasn't aware of this. How about when another team member uses this? I just know it seems constant to the point I ignore it.

My fault there Cath. During my 1st few stints as commander I spammed the contacts of every enemy when I scan, as opposed to what you can see in the UAV. In my twisted newb mind, it gave more info to those outside the UAV radius, so they could make their own decision as to whether or not to approach/target an area.
It got annoying for me, and I was the one doing it. :)
I now only "spot enemy" when it is a SCAN outside UAV radius, and the target is IMMEDIATELY relevant. Otherwise my scans are for my use to stay informed and to shoot arty.
If you hear an 'enemy spotted' and I am commanding, be sure to press "M" and look for the red dot. It will be smething you want to see. :)
Another aspect of SCAN over UAV is that UAV does NOT show all the units in that area, but SCAN does. I do not yet know the criteria for this(suspect open vs concealed). If I scan and do an "enemy spotted" inside the UAV radius, that means there are a LOT more enemy than you can see on the UAV... so beware.
I am learning more by the day in regards to commanding.

When a team member points out an enemy, it shows up on everybody's map.
I have heard rumors that UAV will not see Spec-Ops enemy.

UAV will see Special Ops... at least most of the time. Maybe they have to be moving? My experience in looking for those sabatours dictates they can be spotted.
Anyways, I will spot enemies when running a Satalite scan for a couple reasons: it will not show up on your maps otherwise. When not commanding, I don't mind the Enemy spotted calls since all I have to do is glance at my mini-map to see if it is pertinent. I have noticed that the enemy does 'chatter' and have used it to sneak up on some enemies. Not sure if the VOIP picks it up and creates 'chatter' or if it is just random (ie: maybe you can give away your position using VOIP - which makes sense).

If it did that, it would be a very nice touch of depth in the game.
