Here's a link to our new Voice Server status page. It has both our Ventrilo and TS2 server listed and auto updates every 30 secs.

www.texturae.net/ventrilo/status/home.php

Here is a link to the ventrilo client that OMO uses. NOTE: OMO uses the older FREE version. If you have a newer version it will not connect to our server.

www.texturae.net/ventrilo-2.1.4-Windows-i386.exe

enter this address in ventrilo to find us - ventrilo.oldmenonline.net

Very nice. tyvm

"The (Democratic) Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power. Not wealth or luxury or long life or happiness: only power, pure power. ... We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means, it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now do you begin to understand me?" --George Orwell, "1984" - And if you have not figured that out by now with Obama in office, there is no hope.

Nice script Gink! We might even be able to integrate it into the site here. At a minimum I can put a link on the OMO Resources block so it is easy to find.

Comments?

Anyway Nice job!

Or we can start thinking about updating the site? If not updating I think the script should be on this portal. I'll email you the file's, Arcane. If you want to look into updating the site possibly we can see if any of our members have and expertise in the field or want to help?

Peace

I've been waiting for Serverhacker V9 to come out Gink... if we move to a PhP based solution we will loose all the existing topics and threads... I really don't want that.

Anyway... I do have 1 new server a Compaq DL360 G2 that I'm waiting for the holidays to install. I'm looking to get two more DL380 G2 or G3 series... The reason I'm telling you this is because I will be upgrading servers... like I indicated during the summer. With the server upgrades there will be opportunities to update the site. If you all want to see more PhP stuff well you gota tell me. This server runs PhP, ASP, ASP.net, MySQL, etc and I've another that runs MS-SQL so we have a lot of flexibility...

The real issue is integration... and loss of existing topics / threads if we don't integrate.

Guys... I need some input...

Do you care if we loose all the existing topics and threads?

i used Wordpad and this TOPIC as an example of what could be done,

everyone list their name an a voluntery list for this then we could assign each person a list of topics to be done this way , i copied and pasted into wordpad then cleaned up and compressed the size

this would be sometime consummimg, we could weed out those that are decided to be a deadend topics ex= nascars :( topics, jokes, etc...

this one topic took less than 5 minute for me to do, it will requir some sacrifice from us the members, i would beg to be excused as i spent most of this week in the hospitale AGAIN, and my time could serirously be truly limited in the future

OMO is in a serious growth stage, and so we need to take a serious look at reorginzation perhaps or not ? :), a heavy debate is what OMO DOES NOT NEED though
