You heard it here first: I predicted that 2007 would become the year of the botnet, and it appears that I was right. The FBI has just put three of the most notorious bot-herders behind bars, and believe me, they are just the tip of the iceberg. What's a bot-herder? How could botnets be sapping the life (and tapping the personal information) out of your PC? Read our story for all the details. This is just the beginning.

In this day n age not to mention technology,Nothing really supprisez me. I know one day there will be a really defined type of internet, heck it's prolly alredy out there, just most of us just can't throw mad $$$ at it lol.We do good enuff just to have the pc's built to a decent level.
Granted the internet now isn't to awful bad, atleast it's working, and usualy stays decent enuff to do almost everything ya want.Alas, it is "FILLED" w/ so much really wastelss crap. Thats the answer to better connection and certainly alot better Multiplayer servers. The servers alone could run 30% better if they didnt have to run so much of the non sense. They should divide it up into 2 internet's one w/o absolutly no porn at all. Then ya wouldnt have to worry about it so friggin much.I built my machine for online gaming for the most part of even owning a pc.I have 2 others to let my family and thier freinds use to check out emails n such. This is one of the best tips i could really tell anyone..lol Keep atleast ur gaming pc out of the loop.Leave it as crisp and clean as u can muster.

wow, I didn't even know what a botnet was. It doesn't say in the article, but does a regular virus scan work to find them?

I would say not. Not unless the method was with a virus. Root kits are becoming the norm now and Virus Scans are inept as of yet with regards to them.
