I noticed they have released a new version 1.7 of the Point of Existence Mod. Is anyone going to try it, I didn't really care for the earlier POE mod.

New version has tomahawks missiles and introduces the USMC. Bunch of new maps and equipment. POE2 is one of my preferred mods, but finding good servers can be difficult.

POE2 is a good mod for sure. I'll try out the update to see if they've improved the game play. Hard Justice mod is the most complete mod out there and a blast to play because of the sniper rifle, personnel land mines, self guided maverick missiles, etc. Allied Intent mod, while dieing a slow death, is also a blast to play because of super maps and smooth game play, two shelled tanks and THE MOST FUN CRAFT I'VE EVER PLAYED WITH; THE SUPER COBRA HELICOPTER!

It's a good one. The one new map that is a classic is called "something Keep" (not sure the exact name). It's a castle on an island and it's a ton of fun to run inside there. I prefer close combat (read, no tanks, planes, etc. LOL) and this map is perfect for the close combat play.
Also, try a little mod called Sandbox. More fun than, well...... Soar said it's "Lego's meets BF2". That about says it all.
