What action might that be? An AoC Forum perhaps?
you think some of the ex WoW guys in the BCO would be interested in joining our little party of nomands in AoC? I'd feel a little more comfortable with at least 15 active players if we plan on having our own guild. I'll check with them to see how much interest there is.

I guess your new forum for AoC is in your private area? (lol, that sounded bad).
Fossil, I saw your post over at our forums and the game looks really cool. I only played WoW for about 4-5 months, but enjoyed it. The things that really bugged me about the game, and eventually caused me to leave, was the lack of team (guild) play in our group unless you were a level 60 plus. I just didn't have the time to get my toons to that level and it got harder to level without help as you got past 40. I also found the action to get a bit boring after the first few instance runs and such.
Sounds like this game has solved a few of those issues. You level up much faster. You level to 20 in single player so that everyone is sorta on the same page when they get into the servers. Also, it sounds like you pretty much have to run in packs or your dead meat. I also like a lot of the stuff like the toons, the combat system, etc.
I really want to give it a try, but the one thing I am worried about is the time factor. I will be pretty busy with the Offworld mod for another few months, so until say July / Aug I would be slow to catch up with people. I also don't think that most BCO will even try the game. The BCO that are left are pretty non adventurous and will probably play BF2 until the day BF3 comes out. LOL KJ may try, but he seems to move around and play as many different games as I do, so who knows. It would be great to have a bunch try it, but I just don't see it happening.
If I do get into it, I would be pretty noobish and would have to rely on help from people to get me up to speed and such. I like the idea of a smaller group, as I saw what happened in the BCO Guild in WoW. Power struggle with in weeks of forming the guild and most the original BCO's (Tread, Banshee, me, etc) ended up leaving.

Nice. Thanks Bloody.
Yeah, our subforum for Private OMO things on the topic of AoC being left open to all was my fault. I fixed it after I checked the site not being logged in.

Keep me informed on what you guys are doing on this game (big uber guild, small OMO guild, etc). I am 99% sure I will be getting it (going to try beta next week through FilePlanet membership). I will most likely end up just a loan wolf, but if you all are doing an OMO guild I would love to jump in on that.

The only thing for certain is that we'll be on the same server, RP-PvP. (RP scares away the the kids) as for being under the umbrella of a big guild while working as a group or just having an OMO and friends only guild is still in the air. Both have advantages and disadvantages but one thing for certain even if we don't get it resolved before the game releases, we'll be grouping on occasion regardless of our individual preferences.

The more I look at POM, the more I like it - seems challenging, but possibly powerful if played right.
By the way, I got my preorder copy today from Best Buy. Look for me on my war rhino.

I'm getting some bad vibes from the big guild I'm in, too many tools in that tool shed. Anyone feel like shopping for decent guild on a RP pvp server since I stink at picking guilds?http://forums.ageofconan.com/forumdisplay.php?f=17 I hate to admit it but...AGED WAS RIGHT grrr.
I guess we could do our own thing and feel out a bigger guild once we get up in levels.

Fossil that sounds like a good idea, once we are in game we can get to know a few peeps and then check out a guild. They say it is a loner friendly game for quest's and such we will just have to be careful in a RP PVP server cause the tards will come for you if they see easy prey. Lets just make sure we all get on the same server Oh ya check these video's out by keen and grav they go through all the classes on pvp weekend. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MW1bndcGlyA&feature=related
