Old core is fun, but I have noticed that the server doesn't attract or retain people after all the regulars (wussies I might add) leave around 8 PM PST. I saw a regular ask about whether we were going to do old core all the time and then left after the round.
It definitely levels the playing field since you never get the the setup for a gun the way you probably have it for you custom kit. Most people will have to use iron sights since the red dots and acogs are pretty rare. The best thing is very little martyrdom, last stand, grendade/claymore spamming, etc. since you have to find them (might not even show up on a particular map).
FYI for those that don't know. You start with a skorpion and a pistol, no perks. Weapons and perks are placed throughout in fixed locations, but spawn the same weapon or perk everytime. It would be nice if they appeared randomly at the spawn points so you can't go to the same location to get a particular weapon or perk. On the other hand, the benefit is you can re-supply noob tubes, grenades and RPGs by picking them up again when they re-spawns every few seconds.

I honestly don't care for it but you guys want to do it, go for it.
One Request.
If we're going to include countdown in the rotation can it be as a Free for all only? Tags don't show up and TK's happen quite a bit. It's also one of those maps that if the person that spawns before you doesn't move out of the spawn area you can get stuck behind them. (I have to TK them just to get the hell out of there sometimes.)

Good point Fossil. Can we also add more Team death matches into the rotation? They seem to be more popular and keep the server busy.

I'll come up with a map rotation and see what you guys think about it. the current one replays the same map too close together. should be a larger gap.

Countdown. FFA.
Crash TDM.
Crossfire. sab.
Citystreets.dom.
Farm. TDM.
Overgrown. SAB.
Pipeline. HQ.
shipment FFA.
Showdown. TDM.
Strike. Sab.
Vacant. HQ.
Cargo. TDM.
What do you guys think? more TDM since it's the most popular, just 2 of HQ and DOM. Sab and FFA to fill in the gaps.

No more SAB crossfire, with a full server the the game turns into camp fest. It's a TDM and a DOM now.
