Most of their assets are over there(since they can't drill here) and it's a much more tax friendly environment. Screw a company long enough and they'll do what's in their best interest.
Although Petri. This year seems like it. With EVERYTHING going up in price and more competition, Anyone in commercial construction is working at almost 0 profit for now. Just to stay alive. The residential contractors and sub contractors have moved in on our territory since theirs has all but dried up. I know they need to eat but it sure has put a huge strain on me. sorry didn't mean to get off topic, ya touched a nerve.
Unfortunately, a lot of that has to do with the absurd inflation from the housing market the past 8 years which stalled just last year. Either way, one ends up doing what they need to do to support their family (Hey, I worked for Del Taco the last 5 months before obtaining my new job). Some companies leave the USA and others seemingly do give away their business in an effort to keep it. Yet, in the end, no business is capable of surviving by giving their money away. Just because the Government seems exempt from fiscal responsibility does not mean Corporations are - look at Enron.
Anyho, I do hope business picks up for you. We all need it.
