It is about to make a grand show right here in America. I still find it hard to believe that they will vote for him because he is a good speaker or his color but I hear it everywhere. Some of the blacks I know say they almost have to vote for him because if they don't they will lose the chance to have a black president. What about a president that will be good for America.
Starting to think that GOD is tired of us liveing like the Romans and just let us fall apart.

Bif: quote: Starting to think that GOD is tired of us liveing like the Romans and just let us fall apart.
Also some people wonder where things are headed?
Well it's actually very simple. Just pick up and dust off that old fashion book that is known in some parts as a "BIBLE", turn to the last chapter and start reading.

Change is constant, but changing for the worse is what is happening. It has to stop or we will be a country with no freedoms.
I don't let dust get on that old Black Leather book I call the BIBLE. Carry it 5 times a week to church and read it daily. I can't find 1 thing in it that has not come true except for the comeing back of CHRIST. What a day that will be.
People want to change the BIBLE to fit how they want to live. Most do that thru new versions. What they don't know or won't listen to is that every time you copywrite a book you have got to change it a min. of 10%. Bibles or books as I call those changed have had or been copywrited 3 or 4 times wheich has taken away from GOD'S word.
Just one is in the NIV, Acts 8:37 you will find 8:36 and 8:38, they left all of 37 out. That verse explains that Baptisism is not the way to obtain salvation. That is only 1 of the changes in the NIV. There are Thousands of changes which take away from GOD'S WORD. He states 3 times not to change it and that is enough for me.

And this thread keeps wandering, er.... I mean changing. I'm not trying to make light of your concerns, but it is difficult to debate the world in one thread.
Anyways here's a stab at the last one.....Moral and social values are a concern to everybody not just the 'high and mighty' Republicans. The best thing you can do is 'be the change you want to see in the world'. You can't shove a Bible down someones throat, but you can live it. People in general feel they have a right to independent thought regardless of what you think it should be. Is the Bible a good way to live your life and treat others? Absolutely. BTW New Testament or Old?

I am not trying to shove the BIBLe down anyone's throat, just informing them that it has been changed so many times that you don't have GOD'S word in the new ones.
As for Republicans being High and mighty, I don't consider myself that way as all the Republicans I know. I see more Democratics that think they are High and Mighty. They think that people can't think for themselfs. Big Government does that. They tell you what you need and should have. But, speaking of the Democratic party, I don't think they even know what the Bible is.

nm....it's not worth blowing a gasket... I should be minding my own business being a foreigner and all. I'm just sick and tired of the same old simple single minded Repulican/Conservative motis operandi "if you ain't got anything substantial...attack your opponents." It is prevalent in all politcial threads posted here.

Speci, the Republicans don't have a monopoly those types of attacks. Ken Starr was called everything but a white man when all he was trying to do was his job. Bush has been called everything under the sun just for trying to do the best he can. Our own troops have been compared to Nazi's by Democrat leaders in Congress just for doing their jobs.
On the Bible, I try to stay out of the religious debates because I don't want to fault anyone for what they do or don't believe in. But for me personally I View the Old Testament as outdated and the New as being suspect. There just too many things that just don't make common sense in the bible for me to devote my life to it. Thats all I'm going to say about in this thread but if you want hear my reasons make a thread and I'll discuss once I get back from my vacation.

Well said Specimen!
And you are right Fossil, they're all to blame for this BS. It's easy to take pot shots at people, it's more difficult to discuss the issues sanely.
