Actually I was looking for help. :)

Has anybody been able to get the documents from the fishing village? I know they are on the second floor of the middle building in a box, but I can't open the box. any suggestions?

Oh and here's a tip: When you are driving and you have a quest, look at the street signs at the intersections. The main quest directions have red marked pointers and the secondary quest have blue pointers.

I haven't played enough SP to get as far as you are Spec!

I finished the tutorial and started a couple missions is all.

I have been playing MP and mapping mostly.

I have a couple hints:

Watch your GPS light while driving around and stop and get out if the little light starts blinking. Finding the all important diamonds seems key.

Turn off your headlights when coming up on a checkpoint or town, as it seems to not aleart the baddies as quickly.

Do recon in the daylight then go to your safe house, reset clock for night. It's easier to get the baddies at night.

Set a fire on the outside of a town or post your trying to get into. Then go around to the other side and enter there. The baddies seem to like to go towards the fire. lol

Actually I'm not that far in, maybe 8%. I figured out why I couldn't get documents though. I had to listen to my buddy in the safe house untill the quest was activated. I've been doing alot of weapon convoy raids lately and gaining safehouses.

Also look at taking the bus or a boat to your destinations. Much faster

I had a great sniper/automatic weapon, can't remember the model, it was given to me by a buddy and the lousy thing blow up on me during a fight. That's after the sucker jammed on me way too many times. Some buddy! Now I need pills!!

PKM with sniper rifle seems to be best combo, best of both worlds.

You can repair your vehicles.

IED's make quick work of any convoy.

Make sure your not upwind of any fires you may start with IED's, don't ask me how I know.

Starting to use bus's much more now.

Game is starting to get a little boring/repetitive for me, but the missions seem to be changing up a little bit at the 20% point. I've read the game really takes off at the 50% point. Both factions start fighting each other. Looking forward to that.

Kinda of ticks me off every area that I clear seems to get re-occupied with the bad guys only minutes after clearing it.

Also can't seem to get anymore side missions for some reason. There all coming from the factions or Mike's bar.

Oh well, still chugging along.

Sniper rifle and PKM. I wanted to upgrade to the SAW and the higher sniper rifle but the only missions available the radio towers.

I used an IED for the assasination in the safe zone of Pala. easy as pie. :)

Yeah, did one assassination as well that way, more by accident though. Guy was shooting at me, I was flipping through my weapons and a IED was the first thing to popped up. Chucked it by his feet, ran a little bit and set the sucker off. LOL

I've got the semi-auto SVD dragunov sniper rifle, cool as heck. They've got a 50 cal sniper rifle as well. Said I'd unlock it after my next armorer mission. But I haven't been able to get another armorer mission!

I have to say FC2 has the best nade effects of any game I've seen to date. They got the balance spot on. Love how it shakes the trees and vegetation near by when it goes off. Sound is spot on as well. Guns don't sound half bad themselves.

Some of these missions would make for some awesome MP action. Speaking of, when we all going to crank up MP?

Love those buddies! I take it that the PKM is a secondary weapon so that you can carry both that and the sniper rifle? Cool, because I have the MP5 now but I want a sniper rifle too. I've been roaming around unlocking safe houses, clearing areas, doing assignments once in a while and hunting for diamonds baby!
It's addicting! Love the boats and the scenery is beautiful too. I've gotten good at spying a car rumbling towards me, popping up to the 55 cal and blowing them away before they get a shot off! Great fun!

Funny thing I did in MP yesterday was shot a guy out of mid air on one of those things. One of the MP maps is built on a cliff side and it has gliders on the top pathway between the flags. People want to try them out (and they actually work great for CTD if you are good at them) and they almost line up for them. I found a good place on the second to the top pathway and was just sitting back and popping them as they picked up the glider to take off. I was reloading and a guy got in the air so I took two shots at him with my nade launcher. First one hit the wing and sent him into a bit of a spin, then as he started to get control of it, my second shot hit dead on. LOL. He flopped to his death below and the glider kinda went into a diving spin and hit the ground right onto of another dude. LOL. Funny as hell.

That's one fun thing about MP, you get some odd ways of dying and such. One dude was sitting on a ammo box sniping people right and left, so I got my sniper rifle out and hit the corner of the ammo box (couldn't see him, but could see the right edge of the box he was on). The box went up in flames and popping ammo after the second shot. He died a few seconds later and it said I had burned him to death. Also got banned from one server cause I went 10 and 0 with a flame thrower. LOL I just went around to the back of were they spawned and where the diamond was and then just started setting fire after fire. I got 5 deaths and never even saw the guys, but it said I had burned them. lol FIRE, FIRE, FIRE.

i found the secret to enjoy this, or any other game - don't judge
your progress against others. sounds simple. i really like the game and
just learned to ignore everyone else (on other websites too) trash it.

the single player can be frustrating for me but the, i don't know, "openness" of
the map and ability to choose missions and the graphics more than make up for it.

Very good point Burnz. I like the openness too. I honestly don't like playing SP too much (on any game) but I do like it for times when nothing is going on with my regular MP haunts.

I wish you could build single player maps in the editor, as that would be a ton of fun to build them and share with others. Oh well.
