Boy some will try anything to get to your weapons. Just the first step.

GRNC Alert 12-08-08:

Ammunition Registration Coming Soon to a City Near You!

DURHAM PROPOSAL MODELED ON ILLINOIS LAW

And so it begins...

Don't be fooled, by the fact that this is Durham. Yes we know, no bad
idea goes unconsidered by the public officials in Durham, but before
you dismiss this as being Durham's problem, consider this: getting it
passed in Durham is just the first step toward having the backing of
the Durham delegation introduce it into the General Assembly. Then it
will be a problem for all of us. Welcome to Illinois... but this is
still North Carolina, let's keep it that way.

REV. WHITLEY'S GRAND SCHEME

Rev. Melvin Whitley began peddling his so-called "bullet ownership
bill" a couple of years ago, but so far he has failed to find a
willing sponsor in the N.C. G.A. So, he tried the next logical step
for ill conceived gun control - Durham. Councilwoman Cora
Cole-McFadden and Councilman Howard Clement have expressed the intent
to add the bill to the legislative wish-list for 2009.

Under Whitley's proposal, you would have to obtain a permit from the
local sheriff before buying ammunition, in the same vein of pistol
purchase permits. It would also establish, "forbidden persons" who
would not be permitted to buy ammunition.

BROUGHT TO YOU BY OUT OF STATE COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS

Along with anti-gun luminaries such as N.C. Association of Community
Organizations for Reform Now, Parents of Murdered Children, the
People's Alliance, North Carolinians Against Gun Violence; you will
find none other than ACORN. Sound familiar? You may remember the
reports about ACORN's active voter fraud efforts during the recent
election. According to NBC-17 news, the Community Organizer for the
local NC ACORN group is none other than Rev. Melvin Whitley.

PASSAGE IN A YEAR?

The NBC-17 report contains this statement: "Whitley hopes to get the
bill passed in a year." Are you prepared to allow this to happen?

I wonder how this will affect Gun powder, slugs and primers for the reloaders?
I am going to look into reloading my own. I do for shotgun shells.

...I wonder if it includes BBs?

Ah, love how much elected officials desire to subvert the Constitution.

Reloads, projectiles, powder, you will have to sign for. The rounds for reloads will be numbered and slugs will also. I don't know about buckshot or bird shot. I know if you need powder or anything to reload it will be signed for.

What I don't like is that someone could steal 5 rounds and kill 5 people and you are hunted down. No body is going up against it yet. Better get your congress man and senators to vote against this. Step 1 is in motion. They want our guns away from us.
