I think I am wearing thin of FPSs at present... actually, mostly the graphic kind. I would love it if something more Mechwarrior-esque came out but I'll settle for Exteel at present since the kids like playing that with me.

Simply put, for me L4D is probably one of the most fun games I have played in years.
My TLB brethren and I have had many, MANY hours of thrills, LAUGHS, and good competition playing it. Despite the clunky server browsing interface (pretty much non-existent), we have recruited several new members to the TLB fold through this game.
Still play L4D several times a week, and we howl with laughter. If any of you have it then add tlbfestus to your steam account and I'll try to get you into a game with us. Unfortunately, we do have to kick non-members if a member shows up.
Tomorrow several of us plan a Company of Heroes night too.

I play it on the X box, it's fun no doubt but gets old pretty quick IMHO.

Say, can I add you to my Steam friends list even if I don't play it?

Good question Petri. I STEAM occasionally so I'd like any STEAM friends out there that I can add. I'm listed as Panman.

I wish that they would stop with left for dead and get back to work on Episode 3. The pain of the cliffhanger is unbearable.

add away.
L4D is a Steam game, just like HL2, but Steam is just the online provider/system. HL2 and L4D are made by different devs as far as I know.

Almost for sure my last absolute kick at this can.
BUMP.
I'm telling you, get 4 of you together, play COOP mode together, then take your lumps and learn how to play VERSUS mode. It's a blast. I will give you that VERSUS mode is much more fun when you know the players on BOTH teams. For that you'd need 8 players.
Anyone who wants to try it can always add me to their STEAM list and I will get them a game with TLB. That includes the current L4D game.

I played the demo of the first one and it was OK, but nothing to make me want to pay for the full game. If I have a need to kill zombies I just load up COD5 and go to town on them there. (co op is also available in COD5 zombie mode).

I bought it yesterday on Steam cause it was on sale. I only played a few minutes so not enough to really know. I had fun playing the online thing were you play as a survivor then as a undead the next round. It was hard has hell playing as the undead cause it's all new and seems easy for the survivors to kill you, but still kinda cool to play as an undead. I will be playing some tomorrow I hope.

It's much tougher on Survivors than the original game.
Again, feel free to add me as a friend on Steam, [TLB]Festus, and I will try to get you some games with our group. We do have to make room for members, but with a few more members we can run two games at a go, with mostly TLB.
We enjoy killing noobs and mocking them. Pity that those "noobs" get good too quickly and we start cursing them all too quickly.

so... I downloaded the game. L4D and L4D2. the bummer part is that campaign mode is multiplayer. You and your clan-mates still play, Festus?
