Welcome BrokenHip!

Just a wee question, a mere formality, but who initiated you into the gang, and in what game?
Just checking to see if protocol is being followed. :)

If this is who I think it is, he(?) pm'd me on the MW4Online boards. (Hi) ... and he is asking rather than presuming.

As such, we haven't had the chance to get to know him yet. ... but, it has been a loooong time since we've done a MW4 initiation.

I think he is just introducing himself Festus.

BrokenHip, take a gander at our website. There you will find a little about us and our membership policies.

The next step is to get into some games with us. We have a dedicated BattleCom server so we would also like you to get on the horn with us. Of course, someone will have to give you that IP addy but that will happen when we get you into a game or two.

Not really that complicated but we like to have an initiation once we see that we are compatable... then comes the naming ceremony... usually that takes the longest... it also where we have the most fun (normally).

Anyway, glad you stopped by. Please feel free to join in our conversations here on the forum.

Thanks for the welcome, folks...

It was indeed Aged that I met - I asked him about your group, where he referred me to the web pages.

If I jumped the gun on grabbing an "old"-type name, that's completely my fault - I was reading the history of how you got founded - and thought the idea was to come up with an "old" name - if I jumped the gun on anything, I apologize :)

As to getting some "initiation" I haven't been initiated yet- I'm up for it (it'll also be an introduction for me into MW4 multi-play) - but I'll need to work out some system problems I'm currently trying to iron out that are keeping me from getting into MW4 (mercenaries) MP - for some reason at the moment, I can't seem to connect to anything with it. I think I need to do some reinstalling as well as router tweeking.

Anyway - if I jumped any protocols, I apologize, and it's strictly my fault, not that of Aged. And yes, I meant this as an introduction and hope of acceptance, not as an assumption.

My mistake.

It was the damn name you posted with. It was just SO appropriate that I subconciously added "OMO" to it when reading.

That, and I'm resident OMO cloaca.........(gotta keep it clean don't ya know) :)

Festus is a spoon. We've decided to consider it "charming".

As far as MW4 goes, I think we've pretty much abandonned Vengeance and Black Knight for Mercs. In fact, I recently uninstalled Vengeance and Black Knight to make space on my hard drive.

Actually, I think Festus might have gotten the wrong impression from me. I assumed too... thought this was the members forum, not public members forum... lol

Wish I could be in on the action of initiation... But, I have no Mercs.

My apologies for being misleading - I usuallyu go by DerangedLunaTech, but thought this might be more appropriate (not understanding the naming ceremonies) :)

Anyway - I may be able to arrange initiation next week sometime - I have some new toys on the way which will require me to reinstall everything anyway - so I'll probably wait until I have that up and running and settled in, if everyone doesn't mind (not that there's much option at the moment, with me not being able to connect).

BTW - if I posted this in the wrong area, my apologies - I saw the "introduct yourself" and (even though I normally don't do the "Hi, I'm new, welcome me" type threads) figured I would here, since I'll try to prove myself worthy enough to join :)

Well - since I didn't know about the naming ceremony, and I'm not necessarily attached to this name, I won't object to it getting changed... :)

You guys would probably come up with something way better anyway.

You absolutely need to have Aged and Festus in the naming cerimony... and that's all I'm gona say about that.

I know... I know... I know Arcane. But at our age you know well enough that we become as stubborn as ONE.

[edit]: Arcane, you realize that I have to post here instead of adding another post after yours since that will ruin the '666' setup?

darn you, I wasn't even watching! lol

That said, I just went out and purchased a copy of Mercs ($24) just to have the pleasure of obliterating you in a Mech. Then again, it could just become another lesson in:
