The more I look at this game the more I like it.
Who else is going to play from our group or bloody's?

Here is a link to some interesting skill sets

From what I saw the release date is September 1st, I've been trying to get as much info on the game as possible but I still have some questions.

So from what I gathered there you have the option of either a Hero or a Villain?
PvP zones or what?
Level cap? are there levels?

From what I've seen so far I think I'd lean toward the Sorcery tree, healing, CC and pets, what more could you ask for heh.

Kind of liking my third go at CoH right now. Lot of new stuff in the game I am enjoying even though I'm almost entirely solo right now.

"The (Democratic) Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power. Not wealth or luxury or long life or happiness: only power, pure power. ... We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means, it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now do you begin to understand me?" --George Orwell, "1984" - And if you have not figured that out by now with Obama in office, there is no hope.

The squeals of joy from my family will be so obvious, you won't need the net to know.

Ok, that was a tad of an overstatement. Basically, once we win a bid and escrow closes, I'll let ya'll know.

I wish I had more details about the game, but I do know you pick your main toon (good or evil) then your nemesis is determined by that. You actually design your nemesis and apparently they play a big roll in your game. As for leveling, yeah you do level up and get addons, etc but not sure on the details.

The combat engine is being very well talked about by closed beta members. Again, no real solid details (think either closed beta people are not posting, or they are under threat of life), but the stuff you do read is all positive about the combat being more active than passive (i.e. more like AoC than WoW).

There just isn't a review, explanation, etc of the beta so far, so I think it's going to be a try it and see thing. Just glad I got in the open beta through File Planet so I can have a week or two with the game before I decide. I do have high hopes for it though.

As for the rest of BCO, yeah right. lol Maybe KJ and MD will play it, but outside of that I have no idea.

Well I've always been a MMO at heart so I'll have to give this a go even if it's for a month or so, from what I've seen of the videos it looks pretty damn good! When I played CoH I was like WOW! but the leveling was sooo boring and the the death penalty was too much to handle IMO. I do like the concept of a Super Hero MMO, I just hope this one offers more.

some videos..http://champions-online.com/videos

I think they turned off the death penalty. I have not had debt since I started and have died many, many times.

Lots of new stuff in game that is keeping me interested and I ver seldom am able to play a MMO for more than one go. This would be about the only one that I did not stop playing again within a month.

Level 1 - 10 does not suffer a DP. 11+ you will start seeing it and it was cut down to less than half it was when the game started. You also get Patrol time, which acts similar to WoW's rest but you don't have to be logged out anywhere in particular to earn it. To top that off, you park in any of the police stations before you log and you build up an small % increase to XP gain. You get hit with a lower DP if you die in a mission. Overall, you level faster and suffer less for dying.

Save yourself grief on the install. Once you get to the part where it talks about a work around solution for the patcher not working, READ THE BELOW FORUM POST.

Anyone in the Beta get it all downloaded? I get to the log in screen then and it begins to download and stalls out about half way through.
