It says out of stock and no price listed Festy. I created an account and added it to "my wish list" for what that's worth. $20 sounds like a deal if it's true. If it's not true...you $#@%

I saw it yesterday too and it was true. It was an apparent error by B&N, but I actually did see it with my own eyes. I was even tempted to just buy one but already have a Steam copy.

Yup! I was on with Rigor and some BCO boys last night. I visited the BCO Ventrilo channel to see who was playing. I'm listed as Panman on BC2 for the "friends" thang!

Today's patch also improved the game a ton (at least for me it did). Smooth, not perfect yet but much better. Have yet to try with DX10 (been using DX9 cause DX10 was hell before) so not sure about that. Will have to try later today.

My iisues with the game is not so much the looks or feel. It's the fact they have a descent sized map that seems to focus upon a couple choke points that can be dominated by a platoonof snipers in the hills. At least until you get a tank to blow up all the trees on the hills and mountains...Then is turns into another COD game....Anxious to see what comes in May.

Oh that's just cause the beta is the Rush mode only. It's meant to do exactly what you describe (focus battle) and it does take a huge amount of trial and error to feel comfortable with it.
My guess is the full retail will be much more pleasing to BF2 fans, as it has conquest mode just like all BF titles.

Your just at the low end of the learning curve. This game rewards teamwork and has a lot more depth to it then your seeing at the moment.
Having said that, I don't think your going to see those long pauses in battle like BF2. Action is pretty steady.
As for the snipers, become a sniper yourself and mortar them(once unlocked) off the hill. Game balance in BC2 is very good.
Mounted shielded machine gun also offers a good deal of protection against snipers on sniper hill, you can keep their heads down for a while with that thing.
Played a round yesterday 4v3 BCO/OMO vs SAG, one of the funnest BF rounds I ever had.
Squad work is essential.

Heart, what Stingray said.
I was on late last night and was playing a fair number of rounds. I was in one squad, both on defense and offense, and we worked as a team and our efforts won both games. I was in another squad, both defense and offense, and I had no clue what the other members were doing - let alone the team as a whole.
The game is what you make it. Being on a random team in BF2 or BFBC2 are both the same: it's like a box of chocolates with a few covered turds thrown in; you never know what you get. Is it more like CoD? In some ways, yes and they are not all bad. I like that you don't have to change to the knife to use the knife. I don't like the lack of commander. I think the BCO and OMO teamed up together would dominate any mode and map we played together.
Teamwork, Heart, you know it the key and what lacks when we are not working together.

It is coming out in March of this year and I believe it will be played by the majority of both OMO and BCO.

March 2nd and I can tell you that almost every one of our members has said they are buying it (not sure if they will all have it day one or not).
We also will have a server (hopefully for day one, we are working on that). It will be 28 slots to start, but from yesterday having 6-8 BCO/OMO on a server and not being able to even get in that 32 slot server, we may end up capping out at 32 before long. We want to start at 28 to see how it goes and give people a chance to get use to things. We most likely will run conquests with a few rush maps tossed in. Have to see what the other modes are like too.
Keep watching our website (new shiny one btw) under the Control Center button at the top you will see a server monitor at some point.
