Just don't switch between BF BC2 and other shooters (MoH, CoD, ArmA, etc), cause you will find the weapons in BC2 are horrible. The game itself has great dynamics and play, but god the weapons are crap.

like other shooters, I think you have to find the right weapon to suit your style. For instance the M60 is great but I've found a different mg that is working for me better.
The game dynamics are different than other shooters as squad work is a huge key to success, for me anyways. COD didn't rely on working together as much. (besides shooting in the same direction :^) )
I think they are still tweaking this game so maybe it'll improve.

What the heck are you talking about Bloody?
There are some great weapons in this game. Although I'd say that the M60 is a travesty because it's got a large clip and ridiculous accuracy at range for a machine gun. They did nerf it and it's not as prevalent now thank God.
Once you add a scope or red dot, there are plenty of options for loading out your weapons.
The latest horrible one is the damn GUSTOV though.
FYI...as an Engie you can use your torque wrench to destroy enemy vehicles and even kill enemy players if you sneak up behind them and "unscrew" them.
However, here's a TLB link to the absolute BEST weapon in the game;

Yep, I got on late last night but got in a round or two even say Bloody himself...LOL. As for the M60 they did nerf it a little but still good but I will let you in on a little sercret...try the MG-3 it has really improved after the last patch.
I was working on getting all the Bronze Stars for award and got them all except target dart pistol only to find out you can't get the DAMM THING. So just for grins I started on getting the Gold Star on all the other weapons.

Yes, it was great to see that many OMO's playing together again. Makes the game a whole lot more fun. I prefer getting killed by my bros and friends rather than some stranger. Hope to see even more OMO's on in the future. It's been very enjoyable playing with and getting to know some of the Bloody guys too. They are a good group of folks.

Loving the weapons as well in hardcore, though a few are a bit whacked. 870 with slugs is crazy deadly, better get your 500 kills (for the insignia patch) now before the nerf it. Wish they'd add sway to the sniper scopes like CoD, might reduce the sniper love fest a bit. 416, AKS74, and the XM8 LMG seem to be my go to weapons. They suit my shooting style the best.
Another tip on the wrench, it will drill holes in concrete walls creating a hole to shoot from.
Loving the game for what it is, sits somewhere in between BF2 and CoD.

Yeah, it's a good game because of the game play itself, but weapons are just odd and don't feel right. Hardcore makes them livable, but still not great. I have been playing stuff like MoH beta, Splitter Cell Conviction, etc, and all those games have weapons that feel and sound correct. They also actually kill what you aim at. lol The BC2 weapons feel like BF2142 weapons to me. Sorta like there is really nothing there and your just lucky if your shot hits the target. I think it's partly due to the way they have to write the net code for the bigger environments. It's too bad the Unreal3 engine can't be combined with the Frostbite engine, cause that would make everything feel correct and still have the big open and destructible spaces.

I doubt MoH weapons will stay the same as beta, the assault rifles are laser beam accurate. LMG remind me of BF2 with bullets going every-which way.

I love what MoH has right now with the nades, nade launchers and rpg. Not fond of the "perk" thing though. You get one hacker, lucky sob, or perfect sniper and you can't even spawn without death. Cruise missiles, F 16 bombers, etc are a bit too much and seem to come at too low a kill number too.
Some fun games yesterday on BF BC2. Now if I could just get Malcolm to stop driving over his teammates mines. lol

Yeah, love the blast radius of the rpg's, I think they saw what is happening in BC2.

BC2 is a lot of fun for sure but I agree with bloody with regards to the weapons not feeling right. The targeting is just strange........ The feel of the weapons in CoD was by far superior. I do really like what I see in the MoH (Metal of Honor) beta. I think the game has potential for sure. It is nice to be able to hit what you are targeting.
Sting, Don't get me started with regards to the snipers in BC2. In my opinion they almost ruin the game. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just a little sway in the scope would cure the issue but for some reason a sniper can run, jump, plant pull up the sniper rifle and shoot you from 500 yards without any movement in the scope at all and can hold the sniper rifle perfectly still for eternity. Ugh!!!!!!!!!! ok, ok, ok... I am calming down...... LOL
All this being said I do still enjoy BC2 and it is really about playing the game with friends..........

Best thing for getting to the sniper is a couple of shanks. Kinda makes me thing twice about staring through the scope.

You can do that with a Sniper Rifle? I'll have to give it a try. I spend very little time scoped, mainly because of the shank fear.

Just a plug here, but We still have several Lazy Bastard Servers up. BUT....it looks like we are going to be changing providers so we get a dedicated server from a new host, and the IPs will probably change.
We are planing on just running 1 instance of BC2 (Conquest), and 2-3 BF3 instances.
I'm not a big techy guy, but the server we are getting, if the specs I saw recently, should rock. It's in Chicago, and we are getting a SSD drive that should reboot, load, and change maps a hell of a lot faster.
Just pretend you don't know me and you'll be fine.
Keep an eye out for us. Usually typing LAZY and/or BASTARD in the browser search will bring it up.
