I can't seem to get the VOIP in BF2 working. The BCO boyz were saying that my USB mic needs to be selected in sound properties, but I don't see it in the list !?!?!
(their all my SB X-Fi sound card options and I don't see the Barracuda headset/mic)

Hmm, my BF2 voip doesn't work either. I'm using vista 64 bit with an x-fi card. I have my mic plugged into the mic port though.

Vent works without issue.

Let me try it when I get home. I'll let you know, but remember I canned the Xfi for the Razer Baracuda!

hmmm canned the X-Fi for Razer? You mean the Razer sound card? I get the mic working evrywhere but BF2. The mic is plugged into the sound card direct and the usb is the power supply for the headset that Iuse for mic.

But I got it at an awesome $49 from Woot! Newegg sells it for $150!

I have xfire, but no one seems to use it much. Why bother with the VOIP when you have TS or Vent? When I test the VOIP in BF2 I get valid test sound for 1 second, then it stops. I think BF2 is old technology and can't handle Vista's new sound configuration.
