The RV700 aka 4870X2 card is coming out this summer.

Here's a good review:

This can mean only more price drops for Nvidia's GTX280.

Unfortunately it also makes my current card practically worhtless

Are they whipping these cards out faster?

hey Spec, i just bought a 4850 for my tv.
or, i should say, the pc i hooked up to my 42".
for under $200, they gave me a remote, and a card that's DX 10.1,
will do 2650x1440 (only needed 1080p) and will do hdcp for the blu-ray rom
in that pc.

the sad part is . . . i took out 2 7800 gtx's to make room for it (running in sli).
they retailed @ $1300 when i first fired them up.

The 280 still pumps a few more fps than the dual card in crysis. And the Radion a few more in Conan. We will be able to check the Futuremark site in a couple of days to see the real numbers for the hardcore runs oc'ers will post. 3DMark 06 records are all held by 38x2 series ATI cards now anyway.

oooo.... If I wasn't saving for a motorcycle, I might be inclined to make a new Comp. quad core, DDR3 mem, couple of those bad boys, few terabytes of storage...
